OPSC Recruitment 2019 - 1950 Medical Officers (Assistant Surgeon) Posts

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), Cuttack has released a notification at official website opsconline.gov.in to fill 1950 vacancies of Medical Officers (Assistant Surgeon) in Group-A (Junior Branch) of Odisha Medical & Health Services Cadre under Health & Family Welfare Department . Candidates will be able to register online from 10th January 2019 to 31st January 2019.

Scale of Pay: Level-12 Pay matrix, Cell - 1 of Rs. 56,100/- (P.B. - 3 in the pre-revised scale of pay of Rs. 15,600-39,100/- with Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/-) with usual Dearness and other Allowances

Age Limit: Minimum age limit for Medical Officers (Assistant Surgeon) post is 21 years and maximum 32 years as on the 01 January 2019.

Education Qualification

(i) M.B.B.S. or equivalent Degree from a Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized Medical College/ Institution

(ii) Candidate must posses a valid registration certificate under the Odisha Medical "Registration Rules 1965".

(iii) Candidate should have required conversion certificates recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI) in case of candidate having Degrees from Universities of Foreign Countries.

Selection Process: Selection will be based on Written Examination (Objective Type - MCQ). Written Examination may be held on 17th February 2019 (Sunday) at Cuttack/ Bhubaneswar. Selected candidates will be called for verification of original certificates/ documents

Examination Fee: Applicants have to pay Rs. 500 as application fee charges (non-refundable) through system generated challan at any branch of State Bank of India. After submission of Online Application Form, candidates should take a printout for future use and take a printout of Online Challan (Pay-in-Slip) for payment of requisite fee. No fee for Schedule caste/ Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Pwd candidates (permanent disability is more than 40%).

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released a recruitment notification at opsc.gov.in to fill 371 vacancies of Ayurvedic Medical Officer and Homeopathic Medical Officer in the Group B under Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha.

Registration for online applications will start at opsconline.gov.in from 14 December 2018 and will continue till 14 January 2019.

Education Qualification

1) Ayurvedic Medical Officer - Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). Candidates should be registered under the Odisha State Council of Ayurvedic Medicines.

2) Homeopathic Medical Officer - Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) or equivalent degree. Candidate must be registered under the Odisha State Board of Homeopathic Medicines.

Selection Process:  Selection will be made through career marking (Marks secured in 10th, 12th and BAMS/ BHMS) and Written test (Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions). Written test will be conducted at Cuttack/ Bhubaneswar only.

Examination fee: Candidate are required to pay examination (non-refundable and non-adjustable) fee of Rs. 500/- only. No fee charges for Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates of Odisha and Persons with Disability (PwD). Fee can be pay online at the time of online application submission.
